technoGlobal IT firm Techno Brain has entered a new partnership with SAP to offer one-stop domain expertise in key markets in sub-Saharan Africa.

In a statement, the companies said the partnership is targeted at enterprises in the midmarket segment to help them reduce operating costs, optimise asset utilisation, meet customer requirements and surpass quality and compliance objectives.

“This partnership is strategic for us. It will address a set of niche, vertical markets in Africa that have a need for ready-made enterprise solutions,” said Techno Brain CEO Manoj Shanker said.

The companies will cooperate on marketing activities, lead sharing and customer referrals.

The two are also making targeted investments in the wider Africa region.

Key industries set to benefit from the partnership include the public sector, banking and finance, manufacturing and non-governmental organisations.

“The SME sector will benefit from the availability of IT solutions, enhancing innovation at the workplace,” the statement said.

Techno Brain last month opened up a research and development centre in Nairobi to promote the development of useful innovations that boost the local software economy.

The company said the Sh84 million centre will provide fresh university graduates access to resources to hone ICT skills before their entry to the industry.
