The 22nd Annual Computer Managers’ Congress was held at the Nyali International Beach Resort in Mombasa on 21-23 April 2013. The event was organized under the auspices of the Computer Society of Kenya and drew senior IT management participants from a wide range of organizations in both the public and private sectors including industry, manufacturers, banking and finance, international organizations, agricultural, research, cooperatives, media, governmental and non-governmental organizations.

ICANN Organized an outreach meeting in Nairobi on Monday 8th September at the Panafric Hotel. The meeting targetted the local business community and was hosted by Bob Ochieng', ICANN's Manager, Stakeholder Engagement - East Africa. In attendance was Chris Mondini, ICANN's VP, Stakeholder Engagement North America and Global Business. Bob briefed the meeting on the status of ICANN's Africa Strategy.

The Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) in collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD) is working on a project to harmonize universities education in Computer Science across the region. Towards this pursuit the IUCEA has organized the Computer science/IT Benchmarking forum for stakeholders from 22-24th July, 2014 in Kigali, Rwanda. The objective of the workshop is to develop a framework of benchmark in the fields of Computer science and IT that will be in line with the National Qualifications Frameworks and leading to harmonization of Computer science and IT programmes among university institutions in the East African Community Partner States. The Chairman of the Computer Society of Kenya will represent IT Professionals from Kenya.
